Paving along U.S. 60 East of Owensboro to start Friday

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along a section of U.S. 60 in Daviess County starting Friday.

This work zone runs along U.S. 60 from the KY 2380/CSX Railroad Overpass at mile point 23.2 extending eastward to mile point 27.5 near the U.S. 60/U.S. 231 intersection., a distance of about 4.2 miles.

The contractor plans milling of connecting point keys on Friday, to be followed by asphalt paving to start on Monday.

Yager Materials, LLC, is the prime contractor on this $1.2 million highway improvement project. This project includes paving and other improvements along a section of KY 2839. Paving along U.S. 60 is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting. All work on the project has a target completion date of November 1, 2019.
