The Regional Water Resource Agency in Daviess County has closed KY 2699/Goetz Drive at the intersection with South Town Boulevard (0 mm) in Owensboro. The lane restriction is necessary to run a bypass sewer in an effort to address a failed sewer system.
Currently, Goetz Drive is closed with local traffic only from U.S. 431 (Frederica Street) to South Town Boulevard (KY 2121). This closure will be in place for the next 7 – 10 days.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until further notice.
