ROMP 2021 initial lineup and presale released; festival set for Sept. 15-18

ROMP Festival has announced its initial lineup, featuring headliners Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Robert Earl Keen, and Sam Bush. ROMP is set for Sept. 15-18 at Yellow Creek Park, and tickets are on sale now.

Additional artists will include The Infamous Stringdusters, Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), Dan Tyminski, and We Banjo 3. 

The rest of the lineup includes Town Mountain, The Lil Smokies, Balsam Range, Blue Highway, The Price Sisters, Mama Said String Band, Full Cord Bluegrass, Wolfpen Branch, Hot Brown Smack Down, The Josephines, and Giri and Uma Peters. More artists will be added to the lineup and announced at future date.

Four-day tickets are $170. RV camping passes are $150 for all four days in addition to a festival ticket. Tent camping passes are $25 per person for the entire festival, and VIP tickets are $425. Children 12 and under are free accompanying an adult ticket holder.

Tickets can be purchased online at rompfest.com, in personat the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum (311 W. 2nd St.) or by calling 270-926-7891 during operating hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.    

The four-day music festival — produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum — features bluegrass and roots music with on-site camping, artist workshops, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, kids activities, and more.

Hall of Fame Executive Director Chris Joslin said they have worked hard to ensure a safe event for everyone including ticketholders, artists, volunteers, vendors, and staff.

“We are excited about this year’s lineup,” Joslin said. “ROMP 2021 is a great reminder that live music is alive and well in Owensboro, Kentucky, and the Hall of Fame is eager to lead the charge forward. Music is a powerful thing, and the music of Kentucky will be on full display in September at Yellow Creek Park.”
