Tasha Layton, who has been referred to as one of the fastest rising stars in Christian music, will perform for free in Owensboro from 5-8 p.m. Friday. It marks the third and final concert for the inaugural “First Fridays” series that takes place on the outdoor stage at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

The free event will feature food trucks, activities for children, and live music. The Hall of Fame will sell concessions, but this will be an alcohol-free concert series creating a family friendly environment for people of all ages. Seating will not be provided, so attendees need to bring their own chair or blanket. No outside coolers permitted.

Layton’s 2021 hit Look What You’ve Done reached the pinnacle of Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart and earned her recognition as one of the publication’s Top 5 female Christian artists of the year. She has been featured on ABC’s GMA3: What You Need To Know, discussing how past struggles have shaped her life and inspired her music. Layton also served as co-host of the 52nd GMA Dove Awards Pre-Telecast last year.

After singing backup several years with Katy Perry, Layton relocated to Nashville in 2018 landing her first radio hit in 2019 with Love Lifting Me. Her second radio single Into the Sea (It’s Gonna Be OK), elevated her into the Billboard Top 5 Female Christian Artists in 2020.
