Tavern 144 opened earlier this summer at 3926 KY 144, and staff members say it has quickly become a popular spot for locals seeking a country-themed bar experience. The venue features live music, open mic nights, cornhole, a patio, and a “well-curated selection of bourbon.”
Bartender Linzy Sauer, who has been working at Tavern 144 since shortly after it opened, highlighted the bar’s unique offerings.
“Every Wednesday night, we have an open mic night, and on weekends, we have live bands,” Sauer said. “It’s a really nice place with a great atmosphere.”
In addition to its entertainment options, Tavern 144 also boasts a pool table and a spacious patio area. While the bar doesn’t serve food, patrons are welcome to bring in meals via DoorDash or similar services.
Sauer said the bourbon selection is another standout feature, with high-end options available, such as Pappy Van Winkle and Ole Rip Van Winkle.
Tavern 144 is open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., with happy hour from 2-6 p.m. It’s also open on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. The staff said it’s perfect for those looking for a laid-back, country-style venue with a blend of music, games, and a cozy atmosphere.
