Affordable Dentures & Implants is opening a new office on Calumet Trace in Gateway Commons later this month.
Will Johnson, Chief Operating Officer for Affordable Care, said several roles still need to be filled but future patients can start scheduling appointments now.
Johnson said when officials with Affordable Dentures & Implants were looking to add another location, they chose Owensboro because their goal was to find a community where they believe they can help expand patient access to high-quality, affordable tooth replacement care.
“The city of Owensboro is a growing community, and we are excited to become a part of the community and help even more patients restore their smiles,” he said.
The mission of Affordable Dentures & Implants is to provide a smile for every budget, delivered with compassion, dignity and respect.
Johnson said the office will employ approximately seven employees, including the general dentist who will care for patients. Officials are still recruiting and will fill the positions based on qualified applicants. Johnson said they encourage anyone in the local community to apply.
“A role we consistently look to fill is a dental laboratory technician,” he said. “The dental laboratory technician performs setting teeth, waxing, relines, repairs, processing, finishing and polishing dentures. This is a very rewarding position as it plays an important role in making it possible for patients to receive a new smile.”
The practice will feature several areas including an on-site laboratory and clinical operatories where patients are treated.
Johnson said the on-site laboratory helps support same-day services.
“Patients will have access to a variety of general dental and tooth replacement care including crowns, bridges, partial dentures, full dentures and implants,” he said.

The practice will employ a manager who helps oversee daily operations so the general dentist can focus on the clinical needs of patients. The general dentist will be Dr. Basal Hassan, who received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
The practice will be located at 2594 Calumet Trace, Suites 1&2A.
