In conjunction with their grand re-opening, Tobacco Road & Liquor Store is hosting a bourbon silent auction with all proceeds going to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado relief fund established by Gov. Andy Beshear.

Manager Donna Johnson said some of their customers had family members who were affected by the tornado, so they wanted to help them out and give back to the community.

The bid sheets are out until 6:30 p.m. Thursday. To place a bid, visit the store at 1366 Carter Road to sign up for the silent auction and get a bid number.

Some of the bourbons available during the auction are a 10-year-old Rip Van Winkle, 12-year-old Rip Van Winkle, Weller Single Barrel, Michters Toasted Barrel Finish, and more.

“Many of our friends, family and Kentuckians were affected by the severe tornado,” a recent Facebook post by store officials said. “Many lost their loved ones, their homes and their businesses. Join us to help build western Kentucky back together.”
