The permanent jewelry craze has taken over larger cities like Austin, Louisville, and Nashville. It’s now making its way to Owensboro.
Stephanie Pate, a local hairdresser, said she has seen how permanent welded jewelry has grown in larger cities and knew Owensboro needed this.
“I love jewelry, especially the dainty kind,” she said. I loved the idea of having something fun to do with your friends, sister, or mother that symbolizes your friendship and bond.”
In the beginning, she will only be offering pop-up parties, but in the future she plans to offer single appointments at The Red Door Salon & Boutique. The date of her first pop-up party will be announced soon.
The jewelry can be removed easily and Pate said she will offer a one-time, no-cost reattachment. After that, there will be a small fee.
“How fun would it be to have a permanent welded jewelry party for a bachelorette or birthday party,” she said. “I think it’s so cool that all your closest friends could have matching bracelets that are permanent.”
Pate will be offering bracelets, anklets and necklaces with several chain options in 14k gold and sterling silver.
