There’s now another empty space inside Towne Square Mall after Sports Country, which primarily operates as sportswear store, closed it’s T-Shirt Factory location across the walkway. The entire business will now operate inside of the Sports Country space. That leaves the mall with less than 10 stores currently in operation.

The T-Shirt Factory space was all but empty Wednesday evening. On Saturday, an announcement on the company’s Facebook page read:

“We are putting both stores back together in Sports Country across from Bath and Body Works. We are doing to serve our customers better. We will only be preprinting Kentucky Life Varsity Collection. Everything else will be print on demand with expanded inventory of blanks on hand. As we are changing over there will be big deals to reduce printed items. So come check it out and save. Thanks for your understanding and support.”

That’s the second vacated space in the mall this year (Claire’s closed last month), leaving only a handful of spots occupied.

Retailers that can still be found include Bath & Body Works, Maurice’s, Spencer Gifts, Hi Tech Cell Phone and Accessories, Sports Country, and Gadsook Custom Printing. There is also a kiosk for Neel Thredz Spa (eyebrow threading).

Other tenants include Let’s Play Arcade, Owensboro Bridge Club, and ODC Barbell.

Spaces with signage still up but that have closed include Snakiez, Great American Cookie, and Justice.
