As of July 1, Owensboro Health has acquired Advanced Dermatology Associates, combining that practice with Owensboro Health Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The new combined practice is known as Owensboro Health Plastic Surgery and Dermatology.
Dr. Nicole Brey initiated the acquisition because of her decision to step away from the practice of medicine in the near future.
“It has been a joy and an honor to take care of people in this community,” Dr. Brey said. “Deciding to step away from my practice was a hard decision, but I am grateful that my patients will still be able to receive high-quality care thanks to this agreement.“
Richard Hayden, a regional clinics director of the Owensboro Health Medical Group, said the new practice will continue to care for existing patients and will also welcome new ones.
“When Dr. Nicole Brey asked us to acquire her practice, Owensboro Health looked at the best possible way to continue to serve dermatology patients, past, present and future,” Hayden said. “Advanced Dermatology Associates has an excellent practice, phenomenal providers and staff, and an outstanding location. We saw that this could also benefit our plastic and reconstructive surgery patients, so combining the two practices brings out the best of both worlds.”
