After nearly six decades, Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Owensboro has announced a name change. They are now called Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Nearly 60 years ago, OSMO was founded as a small general orthopedic practice. While the doctors and staff will provide for the community’s bone, joint and muscle needs under a new name, they will continue to offer care in the following specialized areas:

  • Elbow, hand, wrist and shoulder care.
  • Foot and ankle care.
  • Hip and knee care.
  • Joint replacement and revision.
  • Orthopedic trauma.
  • Pediatric orthopedics.
  • Sports medicine.

“While we have a new name, we are still the same exceptional team,” said practice president and board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Charles Milem. “We are excited to continue our mission to provide excellence in orthopedic care that is focused on our patients under a new name that we feel better reflects our team’s commitment and level of expertise.”

Patients seeking specialized bone, joint and muscle care can call 270-926-4100 to be seen in Owensboro at Ridgecrest Medical Park located at 2831 New Hartford Road. For urgent needs, patients can visit the practice’s Orthopedic Urgent Care from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturdays.
