According to the Green River District Health Department, a follow-up inspection with Los Cabos has not been scheduled, but they expect one will be done soon. The Health Department posted a Notice of Closure at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant last week.

According to David Miller, a supervisor at the health department, the restaurant is having treatments done to eradicate the roach infestation.

“They have to give us written request for a reinspection,” said Miller. “They’re working on it.”

Miller expects Los Cabos will get the problem addressed. Once the restaurant approaches the health department with their request to be re-inspected, Miller says things should start moving forward.

“We expect they’ll be back open pretty soon,” said Miller.

According to Miller, it’s not necessarily common for restaurants to be closed down for infestations such as the one at Los Cabos.

“It happens, but I wouldn’t say it happens often,” said Miller.
