The National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah has issued a wind advisory, which is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT Sunday. According to the NWS, the Owensboro area can expect wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph. Isolated power outages are possible due to tree limbs falling on power lines. Any loose objects left outdoors will likely be tossed around.
A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are expected to reach 30 mph or greater for longer than one hour or wind gusts are expected to reach 40 mph for any duration.
