According to a news release from Owensboro Police Department, at approximately 1:50 a.m. Friday, OPD responded to a firearm discharge in the 1200 Block of Venable Avenue. Officers spoke to the victim who advised someone had fired several gunshots as he was going into his residence, however the victim was uninjured. There were multiple shell casings and bullet fragments recovered from the scene.
