On Tuesday, April 2nd, at approximately 5:46 a.m., the Owensboro Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Lee Court in reference to a report of a male subject with a stab wound. The victim was stabbed one time in the chest and was struck one time with a blunt object. The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Upon further investigation, it was determined the victim had been in an altercation with the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Gregory Ballard.
Ballard was charged with assault in the second degree and robbery in the first degree and was transported to the Daviess County Detention Center.
