OCTC closes building after refrigeration leak

At 9:30 a.m. this morning Owensboro Fire Department responded to a refrigeration leak in the Science Building at Owensboro Community & Technical College. The building was evacuated and ventilated.

All classes in the OCTC Science Building will be cancelled Thursday. According to OCTC Public Relations and Marketing Director Bernie Hale, an HVAC line malfunctioned and caused the building to be evacuated. Normal activities will resume on Friday. No other classes or buildings are affected. Students are encouraged to check their email for info if class has been cancelled.
