Owensboro Police Department detectives charged John Lee Scott, 30, of Owensboro, with first degree assault and first degree robbery in connection with the Sunday shooting of Christopher McKenzie.
OPD responded to the 1100 block of West Ninth Street on on Sunday at approximately 7:49 p.m. after a report of a shooting.
McKenzie, 27 years old of Owensboro, was located with a single gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
