The Owensboro-Daviess County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking public feedback on its proposed FY 2020-2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.

The organization is led by its designated staff agency — the Green River Area Development District (GRADD).

The MTP is an overview of how the MPO will manage its transportation system (including transit, highway, bicycle, pedestrian, and accessible transportation) to achieve its goals over a 20-year window.

As detailed in its participation plan, the MPO is seeking comments from the public through two avenues:

The MPO will hold an online public meeting from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12. Because of ongoing coronavirus restrictions, in-person attendance will not be offered. Anyone wishing to make comments or ask questions may do so through the GRADD Facebook.

In addition to the meeting, the MTP will be available for public review from Aug. 13 through Sept, 11 at:

  • The GRADD office reception desk
  • The Daviess County Public Library information desk
  • The Owensboro City Hall reception desk
  • The office of the Daviess County Judge/Executive

The document will also be available for review on the GRADD website. Electronic copies will be made available to the Daviess County Public Library, Owensboro City Hall and the Office of the Daviess County Judge-Executive, with a request that the document be posted to their respective web sites.

Written comments may be addressed to:
