The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place Thursday night on Maple Street and left a 31-year-old male with what officials expect to be non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, at approximately 6:46 p.m. OPD responded to the 600 block of Maple Street on a reported burglary in progress. Officers responding to the call were advised that a resident had been shot.
According to OPD, a 31-year-old male victim was located with multiple gunshot wounds to the arm, leg, and torso. The victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
