A plethora of local golfers hit the links on Friday, competing in the GO Junior Golf Series tournament at Windward Heights Country Club.
A total of five golfers from Owensboro claimed first in their respective divisions with one competitor from Philpot.
Those included Baylie Billingsley (46 in Girls 11-12; nine holes), Briley Billingsley (32 in Girls 9-10; six holes) and Alexa Salamah (85 in Girls 13-15; 18 holes) on the girls side, and Willie Bishong (15 in Boys 8-under; three holes) and Colby Vanover (25 in Boys 9-10; six holes).
Holly Holton also finished first in her division (82 in Girls 16-18; 18 holes), being the only golfer to represent Philpot.
The GO Junior Golf Series will move to Central City Country Club for its next tournament on June 3.
