We’re offering a chance for you to hear the local candidates explain why they should get your vote this November. Owensboro Times is hosting an in-person Town Hall on October 24 for the City Commission and Mayoral races. We’ll also be live streaming the event.

The Town Hall will be held at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum. The City Commission Town Hall will begin at 7 p.m., with the Mayoral Town Hall beginning at 8.

An invitation has been extended to all candidates. Most have already responded that they plan to attend.

The two segments of the Town Hall will be broadcast live on the OT Facebook Page. The videos will remain there and will also be uploaded to owensborotimes.com for those who can’t attend or view the live feeds.

Guests will be allowed to attend in person for free on a first-come, first-serve basis, though they will not be allowed to ask questions during the event.

Candidates have been given the general topics ahead of time, but specific questions will be asked for the first time during the event.

The community is invited to submit questions they’d like to be considered by sending them to us here.

OT has partnered with Tanner+West and the Bluegrass Hall of Fame to produce the live streams. Jake Boswell will serve as the moderator for the event.
