DJ Johnson will continue to serve as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 13.
Johnson first assumed office on January 1, 2021. He ran unopposed in both the 2024 primary and general election. The 13th District is entirely within Daviess County and largely spans the western and central portions of the county, including the City of Owensboro.
“I’m honored and gratified that the voters of the 13th District have provided me the opportunity to again represent them in Frankfort as their State Representative,” Johnson said. “Along with my fellow legislators, I’ve dedicated myself to making Kentucky, and particularly Daviess County, the best place to live in America. I’m proud to have led on such issues as supporting our first responders, lowering personal income taxes, and defending our closely held conservative values that have our community the great place that it is. I’m particularly happy to have improved our quality of life by acquiring a second family court judge for Daviess County.”
Johnson said he looks forward to tackling more challenges in his next term.
“I will do whatever it takes to provide Daviess County citizens with a safe community,” he said. “I will work with everyone involved to ensure our children become proficient in reading, math, and science. And I will be particularly focused on improving the quality of life of our families; particularly our adoptive and foster care families.”
Johnson added, “I truly believe Daviess County is the best place to live, but I look forward to working with local, state, and federal officials to make it even better. Thank you again to the voters in the 13th District for allowing me to serve you.”
