Dorothy Rose Ray Taylor Finley, 99, of Rineyville, KY (formerly of Hardinsburg) went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born to Chester and Sarah Ray, she was the last of her brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Charles; daughter, Linda Carol; granddaughter, Tina Marie; great grandson, Cody; great granddaughter, Isabella; and two stepsons, Charles Junior and Jeffry.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Evans, Bobbie Sue Taylor, Lorrie (Grady) Buchanan and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, plus many other family and friends. A special person that loved and spent time with her was Robin Grey and family.
Her greatest joys on this earth were telling others about Jesus, reading her bible, spending time with family/friends, and eating anything sweet, especially chocolate.
She was a longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in McQuady, KY.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 12 PM, with burial in the Jolly Cemetery on Finley-Dowell Road near Hardinsburg. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM.
In lieu of flowers, her last request to All was to make a contribution to the charity of your choice, your church or her church (Pleasant View Baptist Church). This is in keeping to her character and love of helping others. She loved the beauty of flowers, but helping others was near and dear to her heart.
