Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Boren, 69, of Greenville, KY died on Monday, June 8, 2026 at his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Evansville, IN on March 23, 1957, the son of the late James Odell Boren and Marjorie Mae Bennett Boren.
Kenny retired from the Greenville Water Plant in 2019 after 44 years of dedicated service. He attended Green’s Chapel General Baptist Church and served proudly as the caretaker of Green’s Chapel Cemetery for 50 years. Kenny was also an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved riding motorcycles with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stephen James Boren.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vickie Ann Grace Boren of Greenville; one daughter, Sara Elizabeth (Ryan) Hendricks; one son, Justin Wayne (Jessica) Boren; and four grandchildren, Haley Michelle Boren, Easton McCoy Boren, Wyatt James Hendricks, and Allyson Brielle Boren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY, conducted by Brother Jeremy Teague. Burial will follow in Green’s Chapel Cemetery in Greenville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to Green’s Chapel Cemetery. Donations can be made out to “Green’s Chapel Cemetery Fund” addressed to Ricky Williams at 3259 Greens Chapel Road White Plains, KY 42464.
