I am responding to the July 24 “In My View” letter in the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer from local
NAACP President Rhondalyn Randolph.
First, to say that the NAACP is a non-partisan group is absurd. I have been involved in politics both as a Democrat for 15 years, and now as a Republican for 36 years. The NAACP is an arm of the Democrat party, period! Is there evidence to support her claims of this alleged non-partisanship? How many of the local and state NAACP officers are registered Republicans?
The NAACP has aligned itself with anti-Christian groups with liberal social agendas. I believe that
we should all subscribe to Martin Luther King’s belief that all men should be judged on the content
of their character.
Lastly, welcome to Kenny Riley, former president of the local NAACP, to the Republican party.
