Letter to the Editor

Those who support Amendment 2 to the Kentucky Constitution often cite low test scores as a reason to provide other options, i.e. private schools, for Kentucky families. If we really want to raise test scores and promote success in public schools, take the money that would go to school vouchers and hire more teachers to reduce class sizes, more mental health professionals to deal with the increasing number of students who have mental health issues, and create more opportunities for students to graduate from high school with non-traditional diplomas. Let’s work together to solve the problems public schools have by providing common sense solutions, and not by taking precious tax dollars to subsidize private schools. Please vote NO on Amendment 2.
