Owensboro Police Department

In the 2900 block of Heartlands Crossing Blvd. on Sunday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of shoplifting $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. Groceries and general merchandise were reported stolen at an estimated value of $899,64.

In the 700 block of W. 1st St. on Sunday, a violation of a Ky. EPO/DVO and a second-degree assault were reported.

In the 100 block of Gilmour Ct. on Sunday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A motor scooter was reported stolen at an approximate value of $2,000.

In the 1600 block of College Dr. on Sunday, a first-degree burglary was reported. An Army-style backpack and other items were reported stolen at an estimated value of $1,450.

In the 700 block of W. Warwick Dr. on Saturday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition from building $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. Clothes were reported stolen at an approximate value of $670.

In the 1900 block of E. 17th St. on Saturday, a first-degree assault was reported.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office

On Saturday, a traffic accident occurred on Worthington Rd. at 12:00 p.m. The single driver was Dona K. Graves, 58, of the 7400 block of Griffith Rd. Graves was injured and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for injuries.

A traffic accident occurred Saturday at the 5100 block of Veach Rd. at 9:14 a.m. Drivers involved included Wesley Cooper, 31, of the 300 block of E. 5th St. and Sherry Sangalli, 50, of the 4800 block of Hunters Chase Ct. Cooper’s passenger, Brittany Cooper, 25, of the 300 block of E. 5th St. was injured in the accident and treated at OHRH for injuries.
