A traffic accident occurred in the 1000 block of Carter Road at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers involved in the accident included Charles Mattingly, 72, of the 3300 block of Hummingbird Loop, Matthew Barnett, 25, of the 3200 block of Chickasaw Dr. and Paul Wilcox, 79, of the 1000 block Carter Road. Mattingly was injured in the wreck and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.
A traffic accident occurred in the 1200 block of Moreland Ave at 8 a.m. on Sunday when a vehicle driven by Arenath Payne,19, of 2800 block of Wayside Dr. struck a parked vehicle. Arenath Payne and passenger Kelsie Payne, 19, of the 500 block of Locust St. were both transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.
In the 4600 block of Frederica St. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an item above $500 but under $10,000 was reported at Office Depot. A laptop was reported stolen at an estimated value of $905.
In the 2400 block of Clarke Dr. on Friday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. Various tools were reported stolen at an estimated value of $3,050.
A burglary was committed in the 2400 block of Clarke Dr. on Friday. Tools were reported stolen at an estimated value of $240.
A burglary was committed in the 1600 block of Lee Ct. on Friday. Tools were reported stolen at an estimated value of $175.
In the 1600 block of Ohio St. on Friday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a vehicle above $500 and under $10000 was reported. A motor scooter was reported stolen at an estimated value of $500.
A kidnapping was reported on Ewing Road on Saturday. A woman reported being assaulted by an acquaintance and not being allowed to exit the vehicle.
A burglary was reported in the 700 block of Orchard on Saturday. A shotgun was taken from an individual at an estimated value of $150 after a round was discharged.
A rape and first-degree sodomy by an acquaintance was reported on Churchill Dr. on Saturday.
In the 7000 block of Jed Place on Sunday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Toyota Corolla was reported stolen at an estimated value of $8,000.
A burglary was reported in the 3600 block of Arlington Dr. on Sunday. An assault was reported during the commission of the burglary, but no items were reported missing.
In the 1400 block of Washington Ave. on Sunday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Dodge Charger was reported stolen at an estimated value of $3500.
A burglary was reported in the 1300 block of W Second St. on Sunday. Grocery items were reported stolen valued at $57.99 including $25 in change, a 12-pack of Busch Light, and a carton of cigarettes.
An attempted burglary was reported at Dugan Best in which a window was damaged, at an estimated value of $200.
