A traffic accident occurred on KY 54 at the Walmart entrance at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Drivers involved in the accident included Virgil Curtis, 71, of the 1500 block of W. 3rd St. and Jennifer D. Tuggle, 41, of the 300 block of Illinois St. Curtis was injured in the wreck and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

At the 4600 block of Frederica St. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A laptop and checkbook were reported stolen at an estimated value of $801.

A first-degree sodomy was reported Wednesday in an unknown alley in Owensboro.

At the 2200 block of Herr Ave. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of all others $500 or more and under $10,000 and a third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument were reported. A lawn mower and tool shed grinder were reported stolen at an estimated value of $539.99.

At the 2200 block of Biscayne Dr. on Wednesday, a second-degree burglary was reported. A white HP laptop was reported stolen at an estimated value of $250.

At the 2200 block of E. Parrish Ave. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Dell laptop, a black laptop case, $500 cash, a pair of glasses and a passport were reported stolen at an estimated value of $2,700.
