A single-vehicle traffic accident occurred Wednesday at the corner of Hale Ave. and W. 5th St. at 7:20 p.m. The driver, Jerry L. Rhineburger, 71, of Central Ave. was injured in the accident and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for evaluation.

A traffic accident occurred Wednesday at the 1700 block of Frederica St. at 10:59 a.m. Driver Shirley N. Thomas, 73, of the 500 block of Yale Pl. was injured in the accident and transported to OHRH for injuries.

In the 300 block of Leitchfield Rd. on Monday, a third-degree burglary was reported. Three Motorola 2-way walkie talkies and a black iPad were reported stolen at an estimated value of $1,000.

In the 2200 block of McConnell Ave. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition from a building under $500 and fraudulent use of a credit card $500 or more and under $10,000 were reported.

In the 3000 block of Frederica St. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition from building $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Gameboy micro–along with 8 games–and a Bluetooth speaker were reported stolen at an estimated value of $592.

In the 4600 block of Frederica St. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of shoplifting $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Northface jacket and other items were reported stolen at an estimated value of $519.96.

In the 4800 block of Frederica St. on Wednesday, a criminal possession of a forged instrument was reported. A counterfeit five-dollar bill was reported to authorities.

A single-vehicle traffic accident occurred on Wednesday at the 1400 block of the Wendell Ford Expy. at 5:11 a.m. The driver, Joseph E. Ashley, 41, of the 5400 block of Gulf Stream Ct. was injured in the accident. According to the deputy report, Ashley was ejected from the vehicle in the accident and was treated for injuries at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
