A traffic accident occurred Tuesday at the corner of W. 2nd St. and Castlen St. at 8:54 p.m. Drivers in the accident included John C. Peyton, 55, of the 200 block of Edwards St. and Cassandra Lanham, 40, of the 1600 block of E. 20th St. Lanham was injured in the wreck and was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

A traffic accident occurred Tuesday at the corner of New Hartford Rd. and E. Byers Ave. at 5:14 p.m. Paul B. Abbot, 53, of the 300 block of Frederick Rd. and Whitney Jo M. Lane, 29, of the 8700 block of Sawmill Rd. were driving in the accident. Lane was injured and taken to OHRH for treatment.

In the 3600 block of Chickasaw Dr. on Monday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. Cash was reported stolen from the center console, as well as a navy Vera Bradley wallet, a Michael Kors purse and a Chase debit card. The items reported stolen were estimated to total $1,170 in value.

In the 1100 block of W. 3rd St. on Tuesday, a theft by deception including cold checks under $10,000 was reported. The total amount reported stolen was estimated at $1,860.

In the 1700 block of Hill Ave. on Wednesday, a second-degree burglary was reported. $20 in various bills, a black woman’s wallet and credit cards were reported stolen at an estimated value of $2,040.
