A traffic accident occurred Thursday at the corner of E. 25th St. and Allen St. at 10:30 a.m. Drivers in the accident included Jasper T. Brown, 17, of the 3100 block of Allen St. and Paul E. Hallam, 72, of the 8900 block of Hwy. 405. Brown and Hallam’s passenger, Mary L. Sikes, 63, of the 700 block of Pennbrook Ave. were injured in the wreck. Both were taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to be treated for injuries.

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported on Sunday on Lewis Ln. An Apple Macbook Air and a Vera Bradley backpack were reported stolen at an estimated value of $1,940.

 

On Monday, a possession of a handgun by a convicted felon was reported on Booth Ave.

 

In the 1800 block of McCulloch Ave. on Saturday, a second-degree burglary was reported. A gold watch and approximately 30 antique coins were reported stolen at an estimated value of $250.

 

In the 2800 block of Farrell Crescent Dr. on Monday, a theft by unlawful taking $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A double axle flatbed trailer was reported stolen at a value of $9,000.
