Reports

A first-degree robbery was reported at the 2900 block of Daviess Street. The victim had hired someone to work on his home, and the hired individual demanded payment before threatening the victim with a knife. A cell phone and Otterbox were reported stolen at an approximate value of $1,059. The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 1.

 

A first-degree robbery was reported at the 500 block of Walnut Street. Two victims received a call at their place of work for a pizza delivery. When they arrived at the address given, they found the address didn’t exist. The victims were approached by two individuals who tried paying with a counterfeit $100 bill. The two individuals threatened the victims and stole the ordered pizza. The stolen items were valued at approximately $126.83.

 

A second-degree assault was reported at the 1900 block of McCulloch Avenue. Two juveniles got into an argument and one hit the other with the handle of a gun, injuring the victim enough to require stitches.  

Traffic

A collision occurred Thursday evening between Sarah Bennett, 19, of the 2300 block of Whirl-A-Way Drive and Sean MacGregor, 56, of the 2600 block of Bittel Road. MacGregor was driving a motorcycle and Bennett was driving a car involved in the wreck, which halted traffic for a while afterward. MacGregor suffered injuries to his leg and was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for evaluation.
