A collision occurred at the 300 block of E. 4th Street on Sunday at 9:40 p.m. Cloie E. Powell, 17, of Newburgh, IN and Lolita I. Abt, 41, of the 7500 block of State Route 500 were involved in the wreck. Powell was injured and treated at OHRH.

 

A collision involving Megan E. Rittmeyer, 22, of the 4100 block of Horseshoe Trace and Joe Mattingly, 44, of the 2000 block of Ottawa Drive occurred Monday on Frederica Street. Mattingly was driving a bicycle and Rittmeyer a car in the wreck.

 

Reports

At Advanced Auto Parts, located at 1039 E. 18th Street, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm, a theft by unlawful taking from a building under $500, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a controlled substance under $10,000 were reported on Sunday. A Smith & Wesson pistol was reported stolen at an approximate value of $350. Narcotics (hydrocodone) was reported stolen at an approximate value of $100. $42 cash was also stolen, at a total of $492 estimated value being reported stolen. A debit card belonging to the victim was recovered that same day.

 

A second-degree burglary was reported at the 2900 block of Daviess Street on Sunday. A face mask was reported stolen at an approximate value of $10. Peyton C. Taylor, 20, was arrested in connection to the burglary.

 

A third-degree burglary was reported Monday at the 1800 block of Triplett Street. The incident occurred at a department store between August 9-13. Several items were reported stolen of which the victim could not prove stolen to the officer. The approximate value of the stolen items totaled $1.00.

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of all others at $500 or more and less than $10,000 was reported Monday at the 1600 block of Center Street. A red gas can was reported stolen at an approximate value of $25, and assorted tools at an approximate value of $1,075 were reported stolen from the residence.

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm was reported Monday at the 700 block of Clay Street. The incident occurred on August 3. A Taurus 9-9 millimeter semiautomatic pistol was reported stolen at an estimated value of $320.
