A collision occurred Monday at the corner of E. 4th Street and Leitchfield Road at 2:11 p.m. Alexandria Girten, 21, of the 2200 block of E. 18th Street and Jose M N. Martinez Sanchez, 22, of the 100 block of S. Geiger Street were driving vehicles in the wreck. Martinez Sanchez and passenger Jose R. Martinez, 58, were injured and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

A collision involving Gerald West, 69, of the 2100 block of Brampton Court and Cecil Bertram, 83, of the 2700 block of Wesleyan Park occurred Tuesday at 4:10 p.m. West was injured while driving his bicycle and was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

Reports

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported at the 400 block of Cedar Street on Monday. A Jeep Liberty was reported stolen at an approximate value of $8,000. The vehicle was recovered in undamaged condition the following day.

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm and a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle (under $500) were reported Tuesday at the 400 block of Ewing Road. The incident was reported to have occurred between Monday and Tuesday at some point. A 9-9 MM pistol and money were reported stolen at an approximate value of $250.

 

At the 3800 block of Kipling Drive, a second-degree burglary and a third-degree burglary were reported on Tuesday. The incident was reported to occur on the Monday before. Assorted tools, including a lawn mower and a generator were reported stolen at an approximate value of $350.

 

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of shoplifting $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported at the Walmart located on Highway 54 on Tuesday. The reported amount stolen was approximately $727.45.

 

At the 400 block of E. 18th Street, a third-degree burglary was reported on Wednesday morning. A coin machine was reported stolen from G&G Laundry. The stolen coin machine itself was valued at approximately $600, and $300-$500 in coins and bills were reported stolen with the machine. The total amount stolen totaled $1,100.
