
Martha E. (Loper) Carver, 97, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home.
Martha was born in Rockport, Indiana on December 7, 1924 to the late Herbert and Stacey (Barker) Loper.
Martha had retired from General Electric. She enjoyed shopping, baking, traveling, going to the casinos, lottery tickets, and playing bingo, but most of all, she loved her family.
Martha was a former member of Eureka Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Daughter of the Nile.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stanley Carver, who passed away in 2004; her brothers, James Loper, Riley Loper, and Lawrence Loper; her sisters, Elsie Motteler and Alice McClure.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Bowman; her grandchildren, Larry Bowman and his wife, Cindy; Gary Bowman and his wife, Lori; and Darian Bowman and his wife, April; her great grandchildren, Amanda Martin, Britni Haycox, Brad Bowman, and Jewel Sylvester; 7 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandson; her sister-in-law, Dora McDaniels; her brother-in-law, Harold Brown; several nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana with Pastor Tim Coomer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and from 9 A.M. until 10 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
