Brenda Ramsey Probus, age 82 of Irvington, KY passed away March 1, 2022 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Breckinridge County, KY on September 26, 1939, the daughter of the late Orval and Frances Wilson Tabor. Brenda was a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church where she was involved with the homebound ministry, Bible study group and participated for many years in the Living Christmas Tree. She was a retired bookkeeper and had many interests that include shopping, traveling – especially to the beach and attending church services. She had a beautiful voice and shared her talent by singing with the Heavenly Sounds. She loved her family, but had a special place in her heart for her cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bug Ramsey and Denver Probus, siblings Ann Burnett and Joan Triplett and daughter-in-law Jackie Ramsey.
Brenda is survived by 4 children: Rick (Winona) Ramsey of Custer, KY; Tim Ramsey of Constantine, KY; Laura (Ricky) Thomas of Owensboro, KY and Tommy Probus of Irvington, KY
5 grandchildren: Megan (John) Richter, Jay (Tiffany) Ramsey, Hannah (Justin) Harper, Cameron (Laura) Ramsey and Spencer (Kristy) Lyons
10 great grandchildren: Braxton and Ace Medley, Eleanor, Forrest, Camden and Dean Richter, Eli, Gracie and Rylee Harper, Kaylee Lyons
2 sisters: Tommie Faye Bennett of Kirk, KY and Vicki (Maurice) Lucas of Hardinsburg, KY
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at Hardinsburg Baptist Church on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 AM with burial in the Constantine Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 3:30 – 7 PM and Friday at the church after 8 AM.
