Greenville – Rondal Carroll Mayes, age 76 of Greenville, died on March 19, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1945 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired mine inspector and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. His most passionate past time was spending time with his grandchildren Gabriella, Jarrett and Juliana. He was preceded in death by his wife Hannelore Mayes, father Harold E. Mayes and mother Mary Mercer.
He is survived by his Daughters Brittany Mayes of Greenville, KY; and Marilyn (Julian) Smith of Chapin, South Carolina; Son Frank (Sandy) Mayes of Wetumpka, Alabama. Grandchildren Gabriella Mayes, Jarrett Smith, and Juliana Smith.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. with Bro. Curtis McGhee officiating, burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be held on Monday March 21, 2022 at 5:00PM at the funeral home.
