Coming in seeded sixth out of six teams, the Kentucky Wesleyan Men’s Bowling Team exceeded expectations, reaching the semi-finals of the inaugural G-MAC/Conference Carolinas before bowing out to #2 Emmanuel. In addition to their team success, Evan Decker was named Co-Bowler of the year for the G-MAC, while Austin Vickers was named Freshman of the year. Decker, Dalton Karstens, and Seth Koloski were all named All-Conference.
The highlight of the day came when the Panthers made a huge comeback on #4 Belmont Abbey in the consolation round of the bracket. Down 3-0 in a best-of-7 series, the Panthers rattled off four straight wins to advance. Koloski came up clutch, hitting the final spare in the last game to seal the win for Wesleyan.
KWC took one off #2 Emmanuel in the semi-finals, but would fall 4-1 to the heavily favored Lions.
