The operator of a motorcycle died from his injuries following a single-vehicle collision with a utility pole Wednesday afternoon, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at approximately 3:24 p.m. Wednesday OPD responded to the 1300 block of W. 9th Street for for the incident. The operator was transported by AMR Ambulance to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
There was no one else involved in the collision, according to OPD.
The OPD Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate the collision.
