Emily Frances Bland, 83, of Hardinsburg, KY, died on April 20, 2022 at Hardinsburg Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on December 9, 1938 to the late Joseph Edward and Frances Alexander Whitfill. Emily was a retired restaurant cook and a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, puzzle books, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband Louie Bland, her daughter Lois Ann Porter, grandson Kenneth Marcus Bland, siblings Joe, Guy, Lonnie, Tom, Richard and Alonzo Whitfill, Matilda Bickett, Mary Lena Robbins, Helen Downs, Margaret Matthews and Ebbie Schafer.
She is survived by her children: Wayne Bland (Julie) of Lewisport, KY; Cindy Veyel (Fred) of McDaniels, KY; Mark Bland (Sonya) of Harned, KY; Mary Lou Bryant (Allan) of Eminence, KY and Beth Willis (Walter) of Falls of Rough, KY
Sisters: Jean Powers of Hardinsburg, KY and Ada Ruth Hazelwood of Guston, KY
Grandchildren: Jenny Bland, Philip Bland, Lisa Bland, Christy Roe, Brandon Kennedy, Jeremy Porter, Amanda Watkins, Lindsey Young, Emily Ault, Sarah Bryant, Kyle Willis and Andrew Willis

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 25, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, March of Dimes or St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
