Heartland Crossings LLC is heading into Phase 2 of a 3-part project to install small shopping centers along the strip off KY 54 in front of Meijer. The new building will house three tenants that have not yet been announced.

Groundwork has already begun on the new space, which will be located next to the current center that includes Red Wing and Santa’s Toys.

According to John Iracane, the new structure will mirror the current one built during Phase 1 but will be a bit smaller.

According to Iracane, the three tenants for the new building have signed confidentiality agreements so he is unable to say what businesses will go in any of the spaces. However, he said the there will be drive-thrus on each end of the building.

Construction is expected to be complete by the end of summer or early fall. Iracane and partner Phil Riney are utilizing Hayden Construction Co. for the project.

Iracane said they have not started thoughts on the third phase yet.

“We want to get this phase done the right way and worry about it a later day,” Iracane said.
