Mary Hazel Lucas, age 85 of Hudson, KY passed away July 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Mook, KY on May 19, 1937, daughter of the late Franklin and Elsie Laslie Anthony.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed the simple things in life – gardening, reading her bible and newspaper, attending church services and being with her family. She and her late husband worked for many years for Oscar Allen. She loved her home and her community and never strayed far from either.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Lucas, brothers Edward D. Anthony, John Anthony and Thomas Anthony.

4 nephews: Eddie Anthony (Kathy) and James Lee Anthony of Custer, KY; Frankie Anthony (Carol) and Jeffery (Kristen) of Hardinsburg, KY
3 nieces: Mindy Hutchins of Radcliff, KY; Darla Anthony of Lewisport, KY and Lisa Anthony of Custer, KY
10 great nieces and nephews: Madelyn Renae DeWitt (Lucien); Christian Tyler Matthews; Jacob Allen Matthews; Sawyer Lane Rearden; Bryan Michael Anthony (Ashley); Shaun Thomas Anthony; Mark Edward Anthony; Anna Necole “Nikki” Anthony-Armes (Rory); Stacey Elizabeth Anthony and Sean Franklin Anthony
4 great great nieces and nephews: Kynlie Grace, Landon Anthony, Levi Anthony and Lucy Anthony and another due in late 2022.
Funeral services will be held at Hudson Community Church on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 4 PM with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church after 1 PM on Monday.
