Daviess County nonprofit organizations are being encouraged to apply for the annual “Christmas at Panther Creek” fundraising opportunity. Five of the agencies that apply will be selected at random to collectively receive half of the total proceeds from the event.
The holiday light display will run from November 25 through January 2, 2023 at Panther Creek Park.
Launched in 2003, “Christmas at Panther Creek” consists of a 1.15-mile lighted driving tour with more than 50 displays and 700,000 lights. The $5 vehicle admission is collected by the nonprofit organizations, who supply volunteers for one week during the display.
“Christmas at Panther Creek is a time-honored tradition in Daviess County with more than 50 displays and 500,000 lights,” said Ross Leigh, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The gate admission is collected by nonprofit organizations that supply volunteers for one week during the display.”
