The Lady Raiders volleyball team had a solid weekend at All-A State, defeating Todd County Central 2-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-20) and Raceland 2-0 (25-14, 25-15), while falling to Eminence 2-1 (25-16, 17-25, 25-17) and Holy Cross (Covington) 2-0 (26-24, 25-19).
Junior Hannah Nash led Trinity (Whitesville) offensively with 41 kills, while junior Georgia Howard had 23, sophomore Kenzie McDowell had 15, sophomore Addison Mills had 13 and senior Josie Aull had 11. Aull also added a monstrous 87 assists on the weekend to orchestrate the offense.
Sophomore Caroline Hall led the defense with 39 digs, while senior Abby Payne chipped in 35, Howard added 24, sophomore Sarah Payne added 18, Aull added 12 and McDowell added 11. The Lady Raiders now sit at 19-5 overall on the season, as they will take Sunday off before hitting the road to take on Owensboro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
