Owensboro Police Department arrested a juvenile for possession of a firearm Thursday night and the juvenile is now being held in Adair County Juvenile Detention Center.
The juvenile was also found in possession of multiple credit cards that were determined to be stolen, according to OPD reports.
OPD said the juvenile was charged with Possession of Handgun by a Minor, 1st offense and Receiving Stolen Property.
They previously had been charged with Disorderly Conduct, 2nd degree.
As with several recent firearms-related investigations, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division have provided information to OPD’s federal law enforcement partners regarding illegally purchased/possessed firearms including the firearm seized during this investigation.
