Michael Wayne Cockriel, 70, of Centertown, Kentucky passed away January 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born on December 21, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Paul Thomas Cockriel. Michael was a plumber by trade and enjoyed working on and building classic cars.
Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sue Parritt Cockriel in 2010, a brother Casey Cockriel, a sister Paula Cockriel and two brother in laws, Richard Glen Parritt, and James Arnold Parritt.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sons, Roy Cockriel of Broadview, Illinois, Michael Cockriel of Pontiac, Michigan and Paul Cockriel of Michigan City, Indiana; two sister in laws, Gaynell (Barry) Ball of Beaver Dam, Peggy (Tony) Vincent of Beaver Dam and one brother in law Kenny Parritt of Centertown. Michael was blessed with four grandchildren, Crystal Duncan Cockriel, Roy Duncan Cockriel, Paul Cockriel, Jr., and Jaslyn Cockriel all of Centertown and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday January 20, 2023, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Brent Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
