
GLASGOW, KY., Alma Edna Jessup, 94, of Glasgow formerly of Burkesville passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her home. Alma was born on July 23, 1928 in the Depoy Community of Muhlenburg County to the late Edwin Carroll Short and Lillie Scott Short. Alma and her husband owned and operated the Alpine Resort and Restaurant in Burkesville for 13 years and was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Norman Jessup, siblings James Lloyd Short and his wife Pearl, Mary Lois Ezell and her husband Grady and C.E. Short and his wife Betty and one great granddaughter, Aurora Valdez.
Survivors include 5 children Doyle Lee Jessup (Rosetta) and Anita Vincent (Jimmy) all of Greenville, Rodney Jessup (Kay) of Burkesville, Connie Sue Jessup and Elizabeth Ann Wade (Kevin) both of Glasgow. 11 grandchildren Jeremy Jessup, Heather Autry, Jessica Sweeney, Marcus Valdez, Jeremy Gore, Jennifer Carver, Sarah Meadows, Stefan Meadows, Summer Shannon, Jackson Wade, Mason Wade, 16 great grandchildren Ethan, Jordan, Bailey, Jameson, Braxton, Jordan, Austin, McKayla, Gavin, Collin, Lilly, Vallie, Linley, Taliyah, Noah, Elijah, 2 great great grandchildren Anniston and Xander, along with a host of other relatives and friends
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home 304 North Main Street Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.
Family requests visitation on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 3 P.M. till 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
