Lanham Brothers Jamboree

The Lanham Brothers Jamboree returns to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on August 5. This marks the 16th year of the event, which began at the Good Time Theatre at Diamond Lake Resort and Campground before moving to the Hall of Fame in 2019.

Barry Lanham said attendees can expect a family-oriented show featuring country, bluegrass, and gospel music. The event also features clogging, square dancing, skits, and much audience participation.

“We make sure no show is ever repeated,” Lanham said. “Whether you’re a first-time or seasoned show-goer, you can expect to be entertained. We’re always changing things up.”

Lanham described this year’s event as a “traditional fiddling show” headlined by renowned fiddler David Morris. Randy Lanham and Parker Malone will join Morris in “tearing up the stage.”

Other special guests include Mark Shelton, Erin Rouse, The Footstompin’ Express Cloggers, and Randall Howard and the Bluegrass Brothers.

“The cloggers will be in full force – this is the largest dance group we’ve ever had,” he said. “We’re excited. We have brand new costumes and routines, and we’re super excited about that. The community always wholeheartedly supports this family-oriented show.”

Lanham attributes the show’s longstanding success to its many sponsors, community support, and a solid partnership with the Hall of Fame. Mudd’s Furniture and Grime Stoppers are this year’s sponsors.

As always, KET will film the 2-hour show and broadcast it on four occasions in the near future.
