A 30-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment for a firearm discharge that occurred July 22 inside the Diamond Lanes South bowling alley, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, OPD responded to the incident at 3:24 p.m. on July 22.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered a handgun in a purse had been negligently discharged into an area near a patron of the business,” the release reads. “Officers observed a bullet hole in a chair in an adjacent lane. Officers collected and logged into evidence two firearms located inside the female subject’s purse.”
The female subject was identified Monday afternoon as Mary Lewis Boarman, of Owensboro.
